Cool Yule

The Big Band Theory

What would November and December be without “Seattle’s Other Holiday Tradition?” Plan now to bring your neighbors and friends to the unforgettable experience that is Seattle Men’s Chorus’ annual holiday musical extravaganza. This year a live swing band, complete with brass and saxophones, will complement a program filled with holiday favorites like: “Let It Snow,” “Walkin’ In A Winter Wonderland,” “Sleigh Ride,” “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas,” “Jingle Bells,” and of course “Silent Night.”

At the same time, hilarious fun is in store as the show features characters from the popular television comedy, The Big Bang Theory, along with other surprises. It will be a great time, and just the thing to get you and yours into the holiday spirit!

The two opening performances (November 26 and 27) features special guest artist Megan Hilty

Opening Night Guest Artist

Megan Hilty
Singer / Actress

Seattle Men’s Chorus is thrilled to welcome Megan Hilty as special guest artist for the opening weekend of its 2011 holiday concert series at Benaroya Hall.

Born and raised in Bellevue, Washington, Megan is an acclaimed stage, television and film performer who made her Broadway debut as Glinda in Wicked and went on to perform that role in the national tour and in Los Angeles. More recently, she earned rave reviews, as well as Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle, Drama League and LA Ovation Award nominations, for her portrayal of Doralee Roberts (the “Dolly Parton role”)in Broadway’s 9 to 5 The Musical. Her television credits include Bones, The Closer, Desperate Housewives, CSI, Shark, Ugly Betty and Eli Stone. In early 2012, Megan will join Debra Messing and Anjelica Huston in the cast of Steven Spielberg’s new NBC television series, SMASH, a backstage look at the development of a (fictitious) Broadway musical.
